Bettina Pommer, born in Graz/Austria, in 1984, studied scenography and exhibition design with Penelope Wehrli, Beatrix von Pilgrim and Wilfried Kuehn at the Academy of Design in Karlsruhe. During her studies she worked as visiting assistant at the Münchner Kammerspiele. After obtaining her diploma in 2011 she was firmly engaged as stage design assistant there. Today she works with Katja Haß, Bert Neumann, Lena Müller, Olaf Altmann, Ene-Liis Semper, and others.
At the Münchner Kammerspiele she created the stage design for Philipp Decker’s production of “Jiggy Porsche taucht ab” (2012) as well as for Caitlin van der Maas’ production of “Doktor Faustus Lichterloh” (2014). Other works were produced for the “Lange Nacht der Neuen Dramatik” and “Urban Prayers”. Under director Johan Simons she was responsible for the stage design of “Judas” (2012) and “März” (2014) at the Münchner Kammerspiele as well as “Deutschstunde” (2014) at the Thalia Theater in Hamburg.
