Valerie Göhring, born in 1992, studied theatre studies and urban studies at the University of Leipzig and during that time, she did internships at the Thalia Theater Hamburg, Centraltheater Leipzig and Schauspiel Hannover. She is the co-founder of the Fuchsbau Festival for Art, Music and Discourse in Hanover. In 2014 she participated in the Forum of Young Theatre Critics at the Theaterbiennale in Wiesbaden. In 2015 she was a scholarship holder of the Theatertreffen blog. From the season 2014/15 she worked as dramaturgy assistant at the Schauspiel Frankfurt. While working, she did a vocational course in Curation in the Dramatic Arts in Munich and Salzburg. From the 2017/18 season on she worked in the dramaturgy department of the Berliner Ensemble where she supervised the Salon for Text and Music in cooperation with the magazine DAS WETTER, as well as the architectural series “BERLIN 3000”. Since the 2018/19 season, Valerie Göhring has been a dramaturge at the Münchner Kammerspiele.
