The Power of Words – Poetry Abend im Habibi Kiosk

In our society, which is based on racist structures, those affected are still too rarely listened to. That’s why we want to create an evening together where people affected by racism are given a stage. The Arbeitskreis Rassismuskritische Mäd-chen*arbeit is organizing an anti-racist poetry evening together with the Habibi Kiosk. Eight artists affected by racism will create poetry for the evening - you can expect poems, spoken word, rap and other musical genres. As a small special, there will be great performances and a small exhibition of children and young people from various social institutions in Munich. Between the acts, there will be time to watch, exchange ideas and enjoy a relaxed get-together.
We cordially invite everyone to our poetry evening, regardless of who is affected. Together we will set an example for diversity, respect and tolerance.
The event is taking place as part of the International Weeks against Racism.




