Pia Ihedioha

Pia Ihedioha is the founder and managing director of Magazin of Color gUG. She is studying to become an elementary school teacher at the University of Passau and is passionate about educational work that is critical of racism. With her platform “Magazin of Color”, she pursues the goal of promoting empowerment and representation through various forms of expression. The platform includes an annual print magazine, an online blog and various event formats. Pia is supported by a volunteer team of ten people. In addition to her work as founder, Pia is also active as a political educator. She gives talks, takes part in panel discussions and leads workshops on topics such as criticism of racism and intersectionality. She was also appointed to the advisory board of the Federal Competence Center for Culture and Creative Industries in 2023.
